The Will of God!

The will of God will never take you...
where the grace of God cannot keep you,
where the arms of God cannot support you,
where the riches of God cannot supply your needs,
where the power of God cannot endow you!

The will of God will never take you...
where the Spirit of God cannot work through you,
where the wisdom of God cannot teach you,
where the army of God cannot protect you,
where the hands of God cannot mold you!

The will of God will never take you...
where the love of God cannot enfold you,
where the mercies of God cannot sustain you,
where the peace of God cannot calm your fears,
where the authority of God cannot overrule for you!

The will of God will never take you...
where the comfort of God cannot dry your tears,
where the Word of God cannot feed you,
where the miracles of God cannot be done for you,
where the omnipresence of God cannot find you!

Everything happens for a purpose - His purpose! We often do not see the wisdom of it all while we are in the middle of it. But the very God that brought us to this place can also bring us through it!

What are you facing today that seems impossible?

In the whole Bible, when did God fail?

His promises are "yea and amen!" In other words, God said it and that settles it! He cannot lie! He is the way, the TRUTH, and the life!

He will NEVER leave you nor forsake you!

He is ABLE to keep you from falling!

In Him we have peace because He has overcome the world!

You are who you are for a reason - God made you to look the way you do. He formed you and shaped you in your mother's womb.

And you are where you are for a reason - God has led you to this place in order to develop something in you!

Trust in Him today with all your heart. Don't try to figure everything out on your own. In all that you do and say, give Him all the credit and glory. After all, He is the one in charge and He leads the way!

What About the World?

We have ability, affluence, and activities... but what about the world?

We have banners, bulletins, and bumper-stickers... but what about the world?

We have choirs, committees, and choruses... but what about the world?

We have deacons, and understand delegation... but what about the world?

We are educated, enabled, and elevated... but what about the world?

We have faith, freedom, and fellowship... but what about the world?

We know God and His Glory... but what about the world?

We have heart and preach about heaven... but what about the world?

Consider this...

What?

In the world?

Are you doing?

For Heaven's sake?

We will never have a global impact unless we have an individual impact! If you want to change your city, start with your neighbor!

Do you really believe that one plants, another waters and God gives the increase?

Does your actions prove what your mouth says?

When was the last time you taught someone the Word of God?

Who was the last person you witnessed to about the love of Jesus Christ?

Does your daily lifestyle match the worship you give on Sunday?

WHAT ABOUT THE WORLD?

We have vocations and take vacations... but what about the world?

We believe in the power of His name to heal and bring hope, but are we telling others about this great truth?

Read this blog, and then find a place to pray. Then think of someone you can share the gospel of Jesus Christ with. Then go and do it!

What about the world?

7-Up!

1) Give up!

What are you holding on to that you can and should give up? Is there a habit you need to break? Is there something you're holding back from God? Do you have a talent that could benefit His Church? Then give up!

Give yourself over to God. Let Him have full control of your life. Let Him make the decisions: after all, He really does not what's best and has your best interests at heart. Besides, when has He ever made a mistake?

Give of your time... your talent... and your treasure... and remember, God is an excellent bookkeeper. He will repay you for what you've given up. His reward is "out of this world!"

2) Gird up!

Job was told to gird up his loins like a man. Peter instructs us to gird up our minds. In other words, it's time for the Church to THINK RIGHT! What are you letting your mind think on? What do you ponder?

The battle is fought and won in your mind. Those who think carnally will never understand the spiritual. Be sure you are keeping your mind on a spiritual exercise regimen. After all, a mind is a terrible thing to waste!

3) Went up!

The 1st Century Christians "went up" for the hour of prayer DAILY! Prayer was not just wishful thinking or rehearsed phrases. When you read about the prayer meetings that they had in Acts, you find prisoners being released by angels, jailhouses caving in, thousands receiving the Holy Ghost, and whole houses shaking from the power of prayer!

Come on Church! Let's go up at the hour of prayer! Talk is cheap; let's put our prayers where are mouth is!

4) Stand up!

If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything! Dads; moms; take a stand in your home! It's time to stand up for righteousness. Our world is spiraling out of control and is on a collision course with hell. Let's get as many people off this path to destruction and point them in the direction of truth!

While the moral fabric of society unravels before us, let us become those who make up the difference! Let's stand up as beacons of faith, hope, and love against this tide of immorality that rages on! Those who stand up will stand out, and may be scoffed at. But God stands up with those who stand out - just ask a certain trio of Hebrew boys...

5) Look up!

Bad news. Political upheaval. Wars and rumors of wars. Corruption. Greed. Etc. and so forth... Dear Lord, if you want to be depressed or get angry real fast, go ahead and read the newspapers and listen to the radio about all the negative junk happening. OR... you can look up for redemption draws near!

Quit looking down - LOOK UP! Where sin abounded, GRACE DID MUCH MORE ABOUND! God has NEVER been in the minority. Sure, it's felt that way at times, but God always has a way of escape. While you may feel like you're all alone, remember, God always has a remnant. Just ask Elijah: God reminded him that there were 7,000 that had not bowed to Baal!

6) Lay up!

If you put money in your savings account, good for you. It is wise to save money. It is wise to spend only the money you do have as well. It is wise to plan for the future with insurances and other monetary considerations. But are you laying up treasure where moth and dust cannot corrupt?

What plans are you making for your eternal future? Are you working with wood, hay, and stubble or are you working with gold, silver, and precious stones? Your works will be tried by fire one day. You need to be laying up some treasure that will last!

7) Caught up!

With all the moral decay of society... with all the upheaval in our homes... with all the financial stress... with all these and more, it is refreshing to be comforted and the Bible has our comfort! The Lord Himself is going to descend from heaven with a shout! It's going to be the last trumpet and it will wake up the whole earth! In fact, those who are dead in Christ are going to rise first. Then those who are alive and remain will be CAUGHT UP to meet the Lord in the air, and so shall we forever be with our Lord. WHEREFORE COMFORT ONE ANOTHER WITH THESE WORDS!

Titus called it the "blessed hope!" Our comfort is in knowing that the end is not really the end! The world will assume that death or martyrdom is the end, but we will know that it ain't over till God says it's over! I'm looking forward to being CAUGHT UP! Are you?
