God IS Doing It Here!

I feel a witness in my spirit today from the Holy Spirit...

GOD IS DOING IT - and I'm not surprised!

God IS accomplishing His vision in this city and region!

God is NOT bound by man's power!

God is NOT limited by what limits us!

God IS faithful and responds to faith!

Go ahead! Lift up holy hands without wrath and doubting! Give God the glory even though you don't see the answer just yet!

The next door you knock on just might be the one that God opens.

The next person you witness to could be the one God has led you to.

Look at yourself in the mirror and proclaim, GOD IS DOING IT HERE!

You don't have to doubt Him - you know too much about Him!

He's been better to you and me than we've been to ourselves!

He's still God and God alone!

He has not left you nor forsaken you - nor will He ever!

The fiery trial you're in is just making you stronger in Him!

This is the greatest hour of His Church!

He ordained you to be here for this final triumph!

Like David, RUN into the valley to face the giant before you and defeat it because GREATER IS HE THAT IS WITHIN YOU THAN HE THAT IS IN THE WORLD!

No weapon formed against you shall prosper!

Every tongue that speaks judgment against you, you shall overcome!

For the weapons of your warfare are not carnal!

BUT THEY ARE MIGHTY THROUGH GOD...

To the pulling down of strongholds!

Casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God!

And bringing into captivity EVERY thought to the obedience of Christ!

C'MON SOLDIER; ARISE! GOD IS DOING IT HERE!

Fight the good fight of faith!

Lay hold on eternal life!

The battle is the Lord's - the victory is yours!

GOD IS DOING IT HERE!

It's time to build!

The economy is shaky.

The stock market is dipping to 16 year lows.

Unemployment is shaking people up.

And yet in the midst of this, God is growing His church! This should not surprise us; however. Jesus said "Upon this rock, I will build my church!" God also promises to add to His church daily!

In January of 2007, we began a remodeling phase to facilitate future growth. A little over two years later, we are reaching the 75-80% point of that growth, meaning that we are in need to build.

Today, I want to encourage you with the Word of the Lord!

Take heart. Be strong and courageous! God has never failed us yet, and He isn't about to start now!

The first Scripture setting is found in 2 Kings...

2 Kings 6:1 (ESV)
Now the sons of the prophets said to Elisha, "See, the place where we dwell under your charge is too small for us."

If you continue reading this story, you will find that Elisha and these sons of the prophets built a bigger place to accommodate their growth needs. God made a way, and they worked together.

This building phase that we are about to enter will require "all hands on deck." We need every man, woman, boy, and girl helping out as much as possible. Prayer is the first priority, followed by giving our time, talents, and treasure to see the work accomplished. I look forward to working alongside you as Nehemiah did when the walls of Jerusalem were rebuilt.

In fact, Nehemiah brings up the second Scripture God wants me to share with you today...

Then answered I them, and said unto them, The God of heaven, he will prosper us; therefore we his servants will arise and build...

God Himself will prosper us with strength and money to accomplish this task. I don't know how God is going to do it, but I know He will. NOW Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen! (Hebrews 11:1)

Notice that it's not "when" or "then" faith.

It's not "yesterday" or "tomorrow" faith.

It's NOW faith!

God's Word is going forth today and it will not return to Him void, but will accomplish the purpose He has sent it to do! (See Isaiah 55:10-11)

I boldly draw a line in the sand today and ask, "Who's on the Lord's side?" If you're willing to possess and act upon NOW faith, then join me in prayer, and join me in giving, and let's see what God will do.

Our Lord promised to prosper us according to how we give...

Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

It's time to build!

Room in the Bank

Is your life full and busy: perhaps too busy? Sometimes we fill our lives so full we don't have time for the important things.

Susan had just been given a silver dollar to put in her piggy bank. She ran excitedly to her room to "deposit" the coin. However, after a few minutes she returned to the living room and handed the coin back to her daddy.

"Daddy," she said crying, "here's your silver dollar back. I can't get it into my piggy bank."

"Why not?" he asked.

"It's too full daddy," she replied.

Daddy accompanied Susan to her room and, sure enough, her bank was too full to accept one more coin. Upon inspection, Daddy discovered that it was full of pennies!

Sometimes our lives are like Susan's bank so full pennies - errands, obligations, and activities that neither neither nurture us nor help anyone else - that there is simply no room left for what is truly important - the silver dollars.

So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

Have you made room in your bank today for the silver dollars? If there is no room, maybe you need to remove some pennies so that the silver dollars will fit. Take some time today to evaluate the contents of your bank. If it's full of pennies with little or no room for silver dollars, then I suggest you empty some pennies out.
